Crystal and Matt managed to choose the one sunny day of the week, luckily. Before their wedding, storms lasted nearly a week and the wet grounds were a challenge to get outdoor images I usually strive for. Nonetheless, they had a beautiful wedding day, the first day of spring!
The venue: The Barn at Chestnut Springs of Sevierville, TN
Crystal and Matt made their ceremony "unplugged", which I highly encourage all engaged couples to consider! An "unplugged" wedding simply means this- put your phones down and enjoy the moment. As a photographer, it makes my job just a little bit easier as well. That classic "down-the-aisle" shot doesn't get ruined with everyone's phones sticking out trying to get a photo of the bride or the first kiss.
Their decorations were beautifully thought out, with dainty and rustic details throughout. Crystal hand-painted small pots with succulents as party favors to her loved ones. She and I both joked over how we struggle to keep plants alive.
This family was packed full of love and energy for one another. During the reception, the bridesmaids (their daughters) danced with no cares, sang karaoke, and even conjured up a conga line with the entire guest list trailing behind. This wedding had me laughing to the point where my cheeks hurt and I had to wipe a few tears away. They were an absolute joy to be around and I am so glad I got to be a part of it.
